Smart Tables, Sensors, and Built-Ins ...Oh My!

Data Management | Workflow Automation

With over 40 element types, Zerion is built to fit your needs and enhance your workflows. Element types range from simple Signature or Date and Time elements to the more complex Smart Tables and 3rd Party Apps.

Regardless of the types of elements you use, your forms will certainly be robust and dynamic. The different element input types add a new dimension to forms, allowing for a streamlined workflow.

  • 3rd Party App/URL Scheme

The 3rd Party Widget creates a link within iForm to connect with other software installed on the device. This functionality exists on both iOS and Android but is configured differently for each operating system. Add the 3rd Party widget to any form and define what action the widget should take - such as connecting to FaceTime or accessing Google Drive. Learn more about the 3rd Party App.

  • Manatee Works

If your forms need to have barcode scanning capabilities, Manatee Works is the way to go! This barcode scanning engine supports many different types of 1D and 2D barcodes, making it a must-have for scanning drivers licenses, inventory, badges, and much more. The data within the code can be passed to a single field, or can be parsed using JavaScript into many different fields, such as first and last name. Learn more about the Manatee widget.

  • Smart Table Search

The Smart Table Search is a feature that allows you to perform a local search on any data table. Two separate forms are created when using this function. One form stores information which is used within another form, this will be your database. The other form is what the end-user will be using to "lookup" data and will call to the database that stores the information. For example, a user needs to confirm that the inventory items are located in the correct building and room number. Using the Smart Table Search, the user can scan a barcode located on each item. Fields such as Product Brand, Model Number, Date Added to Inventory, Building Name, Room Number, and Additional Notes will auto-fill into the form based off the barcode. Learn more about using the Smart Table Search.

  • Built-In Functions

Zerion provides a number of built-in functions; the ideal way to remove the need to enter repetitive information and maintain data integrity. Subform Aggregation sum or average of subform records are all Zerion Built-In Functions. This can be useful for a purchase order scenario where you need to keep a running total of all items that are being purchased. Learn more about the Built-In Functions.
